Honoring Gender Pronouns at ClarkLindsey
At ClarkLindsey, belonging is at the heart of wellness. We welcome every person, perspective, and culture with respect and care. One way we nurture this sense of belonging is by honoring each individual’s gender pronouns.
What Are Pronouns?
Pronouns are words like she, he, or they that we use when referring to someone. Because pronouns aren’t always obvious, we encourage asking and sharing them in a way that feels comfortable and respectful.
Examples of Common Pronouns
-
she/her
-
he/him
-
they/them
Some people use other pronouns or prefer to be called by name only. We honor every choice.
Why Pronouns Matter
Using someone’s correct pronouns is a simple, meaningful way to show respect for their identity. It helps create an inclusive, welcoming environment where everyone, residents, team members, volunteers, families, and guests, feels seen, valued, and safe.
If you’re unsure of someone’s pronouns, it’s okay to ask politely, use they/them, or their name, until you know. At ClarkLindsey, we learn together, support one another, and strive every day to treat everyone with care and dignity.
